About Us

In 2006, Doug Sharp put together a team of architects within BSB Design with one goal: design a sturdy home, with lightweight materials, that would be easy to ship and could be built in one day by one family. All this for as little money as possible.

Your donation will go to The Affordable Housing in the Developing World Foundation (AHDWF). AHDWF is a registered 501c3, dedicated to providing affordable housing wherever it is needed around the world and will use the funds collected by gifts and donations to advance this purpose.

Jerry Messman

Jerry Messman is Consulting Partner for BSB Designs, and serves on the Board. He’s responsible for the design of the Abod structure.

Jerry is an advocate of education at all levels. He enjoys challenging BSB Design teams each year during their annual in-house Design Competition, a showcase of company talent. He conducts a yearly Design Tour addressing trends and creative ideas from around the country.

One of his most memorable projects was the House of the Future for Newsweek magazine and “Hometime.” The 20-year lifestyle projection was both challenging and rewarding. Jerry has experience in all product types, including luxury high-rises, but the most fulfilling has been BSB Design's Change the World project, which is developing innovative, low-income solutions for the worldwide housing crisis.

To address client needs, Jerry advocates design solutions that incorporate creativity and excitement with attention to the end user. In his spare time, he is an avid artist represented in several galleries around the country.
